Sloping roof

Bluedec® can be used on both the outside and the inside of a sloping roof.

Because bluedec® is water repellent but still vapour permeable, it is very well suited for use directly under the roofing tiles. Assuming that the roofing boards are in good condition, bluedec® can easily be installed after removing the roofing tiles, tile laths and battens. Install new (or the same) tile laths and battens, the removed roofing tiles (if they are still good), and you have a very well insulated roof.

Chimneys, bargeboards, gutters etc. will not usually need to be modified because the material is so thin and still gives very high insulation values. The interior space between the beams and purloins remains intact!

Another advantage is that no mess is created inside and all your belongings can stay where they are.

Hellend dak bluedec® on the inside between the beams and purloins is of course also possible. Doing this, it is not necessary to fill the entire space. That means that there is no problem if you want to keep the beams / purloins intact from an aesthetic standpoint. Finishing with gypsum board or another material can simply be done in the traditional way.
